We're Steve and Janell, the husband and wife team behind Brilliant Captures. Urgent Care Physician and Accountant by day; Rockstar Photographers on the weekend!! We're thrilled that you're taking a few moments to learn about us and we've thoughtfully prepared this next section with you (our potential client) in mind. We've included the principles that define our experience and who we are as photographers. Within these next few paragraphs many of our our clients get that light bulb moment, where they know if we're the right fit for them. We'll cross our fingers and meet you at the end of the page.

Short Story.. on our wedding day we had 2 amazing vendors and about 6 other average/good vendors.  The amazing vendors have remained permanently embedded in our hearts and minds to this day and the other vendors were forgotten at the end of the night. When we began this  company we studied out the qualities and attributes that allow these vendors to provide us with such a premium experience and we injected them into our DNA & mission. On your wedding day the majority of you will have a best man and maid of honor. You choose these people because they're heavily invested in your best interest and they simple want to serve you. regardless if it rain, or if you, or something doesn't go exactly as planned-- it's still about you. We bring this level of humility and commitment with us to every 60 minute session or 10 hour wedding. We know it's a privilege and an honor to be part of your story..

Passion First, Business Second 

 Since photography isn't our primary source of income we're in a unique position to pursue it as a passion 1st and a business 2nd. What does this mean?? Simply put-- we understand and we've been there. The majority of our couples are attempting to walk that fine line between getting the highest quality & professionalism for the most affordable price points. It's no secret that weddings get ridiculously expensive and we intentionally choose to be the outlier of the industry. Just because  we produce at a $5,000 dollar quality level, it doesn't mean that we have to charge couples $5,000 just because we can. Our passion allowed us to  place more value in people & experiences, than profit. For example... we love photographing the young professional couple that's been planning their grandiose wedding  for two years, but we also love photographing the young military couple that's eloping on the their break.
